Joshua Slocum sailed around the world in a 37-foot yacht. There was no novice at the time, however.
For every long trip, which probably require some type of sailboat or a yacht big (suitable) because of the large number of poles for long distances. It is noted, but the ship, large and expensive, it is impossible to navigate without an experienced team of four or more. Gulets in general because of its floors of history familiar to be used as a cargo firm (in the triangular trade routes and the transport of slaves from Africa). To navigate in the world, you need certificates and licenses specific to the needs of the nautical who aim to do your homework in advance.
